Staying in tip-top shape from your hair, body and skin does more for you than improving your appearance, it also boosts your confidence. The adage “look good, feel better” rings true here so whether it’s hitting up your favorite barber for a cut, hitting up the gym to stay in shape or investing in a healthy diet and skincare products, make sure you take care of you.
Signing up for the right gym or composing a healthier diet may be easier for you than
researching what products can bring your skincare routine to the next level. It’s for that reason that we’ve curated a list of skincare brands to test out whether you have dry, oily or combination skin.
Aesop – $$$
- This skincare brand is on the pricier side but it’s guaranteed to give you the solutions you are looking for to your skin problems. The brand caters to all skin types and even takes into consideration those with sensitive and open-pored skin. Additionally, Aesop products vary in usage from summer to winter, with each product explicitly stating which seasons they work the best in. While you’re at the Aesop store you can also pick up some of their fresh fragrances that refrain from being overbearing.
Cerave – $$
- Dermatologists love this skincare brand not only because it’s affordable but because its products do the job. A personal favorite here at the Artisan Barber team is Cerave’s Foaming Facial Cleanser and PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion. This is a favorite of ours because it aids oily skin and Cerave products do not have scents which is essential especially if you have sensitive skin. It also helps that Cerave products can last you a long time given its size and if you apply the recommended dime sized amount every time.
The Ordinary – $
- The Ordinary has become a cult favorite amongst skincare saviants because it’s dirt
cheap and the results are out of this world. The Squalane Cleanser can be purchased from almost any merchant, from Amazon to The Ordinary’s website at only $7.90. One of the best selling products of the skincare brand is its Hyaluronic Acid 2% B5 serum that helps with fine lines and provides moisture. What more can you want from a skincare brand that doesn’t break the bank and will work its magic on your skin?
